Order Lead Time

We appreciate 4-6 weeks advance notice for custom orders to ensure we can accommodate your request and provide the best quality products.

Product Freshness

Our cookies stay fresh in their heat-sealed packaging for up to two weeks from the date of preparation when stored properly.

Non-Custom Physical Products (Ready-Made Items)

  • Cancellations 7+ days before pick-up: Full refund less any non-refundable transaction fees (if applicable)

  • Cancellations less than 7 days before pick-up: No refund will be issued

  • No-shows: Orders not picked up within 24 hours of scheduled pick-up time are non-refundable

Custom Orders

Due to the personalized nature of custom decorated cookies:

  • Cancellations 30+ days before scheduled date: Full refund less any non-refundable transaction fees (if applicable)

  • Cancellations 15-29 days before scheduled date: 50% refund less any non-refundable transaction fees (if applicable)

  • Cancellations less than 15 days before scheduled date: No refund will be issued

  • A 50% deposit is required at time of order confirmation to secure your date

Public Cookie Decorating Classes

  • Cancellations 30+ days before class: Full refund less any non-refundable transaction fees (if applicable)

  • Cancellations 15-30 days before class: Class credit issued, redeemable for up to one year from credit issue date

  • Cancellations 14 days or less before class: Non-refundable

Class Cancellation by Cookies Cakes & Bakes: Classes may be canceled at our discretion. This rarely happens – but in that extremely rare event, you'll receive a 100% refund.

Weather Policy: In the event of inclement weather, we'll contact you with alternative options, which may include rescheduling or a full refund.

Private Services (Private Classes, Events, Custom Orders)

  • Cancellations 30+ days before scheduled date: Full refund less any non-refundable transaction fees (if applicable)

  • Cancellations 15-29 days before scheduled date: 50% refund less any non-refundable transaction fees (if applicable)

  • Cancellations less than 15 days before scheduled date: No refund will be issued

  • A 50% deposit is required at time of booking confirmation to secure your date

Quality Issues

We take pride in our work. If you receive a product that is damaged or does not meet the specifications of your confirmed order, please contact us within 24 hours of pick-up/delivery with photographic evidence. We will work with you to remedy the situation on a case-by-case basis.

Shipping

We typically do not offer shipping for our cookies; however, we are open to discussing the possibility with individual customers. Due to the perishable nature of our products, we only ship via overnight delivery, which can be quite costly. Shipping arrangements and costs will be determined individually, and shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable. Once shipped, products are non-returnable.

  • All refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.

By placing an order, attending a class, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Return & Refund Policy.

3. Products & Services

3.1 Custom Decorated Sugar Cookies

  • We recommend placing orders 4-6 weeks in advance to ensure availability

  • We reserve the right to decline orders that we cannot reasonably fulfill

3.2 Ready-Made Products

  • Subject to availability

  • Product descriptions and images are representative; slight variations may occur due to the handmade nature of our products

3.3 Cookie Decorating Experiences

  • Includes public classes, private classes, and event services

  • Participants must follow all safety and instruction guidelines

  • Minimum/maximum participant numbers may apply to certain services

  • We expect all participants to maintain appropriate, respectful behavior during classes and events. We reserve the right to refuse service or remove any participant who engages in inappropriate, aggressive, disruptive, or violent behavior. No refunds will be issued for removal due to conduct violations.

3.4 Age Requirements & Parental Supervision

Children Under 16 Years:

  • Must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the entire class

  • The accompanying adult must actively participate in the class alongside the child

  • Parent/guardian may not leave the premises during class

Teens Ages 16-17 Years:

  • May attend classes without a parent/guardian present

  • Can be dropped off at class start time and picked up at conclusion

  • Parent/guardian must complete registration, provide consent to these Terms, and be reachable by phone during class

All Minors Under 18:

  • Parent or legal guardian must complete registration and consent to these Terms of Service

  • Emergency contact information must be provided

4. Ordering Process

4.1 Order Confirmation

  • An inquiry or contact form submission does NOT constitute a confirmed order

  • Orders are confirmed only after we have reviewed your request and you have received written confirmation from us

  • For custom orders and services requiring a deposit, your order is confirmed upon receipt of the required 50% deposit

4.2 Payment Terms

  • Physical ready-made products: Payment due in full at time of purchase

  • Custom orders and all other services: 50% deposit required upon order confirmation to guarantee your date; remaining balance due at pick-up or day of service

  • We accept cash, check, money order, most major credit cards, and Venmo

  • All prices are in USD

4.3 Lead Times

  • We appreciate 4-6 weeks advance notice for custom orders

  • Rush orders may be accommodated at our discretion and may incur additional fees

  • Holiday and peak season orders may require extended lead times

5. Pick-Up & Delivery

5.1 Pick-Up

  • Pick-up location will be confirmed with each order

  • Pick-up times will be scheduled and confirmed with each order

  • Orders not picked up within 24 hours of scheduled time will be considered abandoned and are non-refundable

5.2 Local Delivery

  • Available within Berks and Chester Counties (specific areas at our discretion)

  • Delivery fees apply based on distance

  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed

5.3 Shipping

  • Shipping is not routinely offered but may be arranged on a case-by-case basis

  • Overnight shipping only, at customer's expense

  • Customer assumes all risk once product is shipped

6. Product Storage & Shelf Life

  • Our cookies stay fresh in their heat-sealed packaging for up to two weeks when stored properly

  • Storage instructions will be provided with your order

  • We are not responsible for product quality if storage instructions are not followed

7. Allergen Information

IMPORTANT ALLERGEN NOTICE:

  • Our cookies are made in a kitchen that processes nuts and nut products

  • We offer gluten-free cookies; however, they are prepared in a kitchen that also processes gluten-containing ingredients

  • Cross-contamination is possible

  • If you have severe food allergies, please consult with us before ordering

  • By placing an order, you acknowledge this allergen information and assume any associated risks

8. Modifications & Cancellations

Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for detailed cancellation terms. Modifications to confirmed orders:

  • Must be requested at least 2 weeks before scheduled date

  • Are subject to approval and may incur additional fees

  • Cannot be guaranteed if requested within 2 weeks of scheduled date

9. Photography & Social Media

  • We may photograph our products for marketing purposes

  • By placing an order, you grant us permission to photograph and share images of your custom cookies on our website and social media

  • If you prefer your order not be photographed or shared, please notify us in writing at time of order

10. Conduct at Classes & Events

Participants must:

  • Arrive on time (late arrivals may result in shortened experience)

  • Follow all instructions and safety guidelines

  • Treat instructors, venue, and other participants with respect

  • Supervise any minors in attendance

We reserve the right to remove any participant who is disruptive, under the influence, or violates these guidelines without refund.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Cookies Cakes & Bakes LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the product or service in question

  • We are not responsible for allergic reactions when allergen information has been properly disclosed

  • We are not liable for any issues arising from products after they leave our possession (improper storage, transportation damage, etc.)

12. Force Majeure
